taylors graduate capabilities
I am a SAM (South Australia Matriculation) student in Taylor's College Subang Jaya this year. There are 5 subjects that need to be chosen in this program before entering the University of my choice. The 5 subjects that I took were ESL (English as Second Language), Biology, Chemistry, Physic as well as Mathematical Studies. These 5 subjects will allow me as a student to have the capabilities to hold a position in a company. Among the 5 subjects, Chemistry is the subject that can allow me to have capabilities to success in future.
Firstly, Chemistry will help me to develop intrapersonal skills such as research skills and also the skill while doing a complete report. Through this skills, I am able to learn something new that is not in the SAM syllabus.
Secondly, Chemistry will able to allow me to have lifelong learning through the experiment or lecture note during the lesson. For example, I have learn the hazard of each chemical substances which will cause our skin to irritate or even worst than that. Hence, we will be more carefully will carrying the experiment which need to use this kind of chemical substances.
Thirdly, I am able to think and to solve the problems through the knowledge of chemistry. For example, lecturer will assign us an experiment which without the procedure and so on. We need to find out how to conduct the experiment with the apparatus given within a fixed period. However, we are able to do research on the experiment to know more about the solution on doing the experiment. Hence, chemistry is the subject which are able to provide graduate capabilities for future.
Forth, Chemistry is able to enhance the communication skill among teammates. During the class, we are able to communicate with each other to share the information about syllabus. We are able to communicate and to talk more so that the projects can be done in a short period effectively.
Lastly, we are able to learn the digital literacy during Chemistry experiment. We are able to learn how to use the apparatus in a right way in order to obtain a set of data which is more accurate and more precise.
